Axel is the first male dog we acquired, hailing from Washburn, North Dakota. He is a very powerful dog and excels at working heavy cover. He loves the water and will often swim far out into the lake away from others just to take a cruise. He is a medium range dog with a long nose and works at the outer edge of gun range. Axel is my favorite for duck hunting because of his love for the water. Also late season pheasants when you need to work the heavy cattails to find birds. He has a medium dense/medium harsh coat that is not overly long and well furnished for hunting. Notable names in Axel’s pedigree are VC Ken Vospet and 5x NSTRA Champion Three Devils Hustler.
