Purchasing a Puppy

The cost of a puppy, either male or female, is $750

If a person is interested in reserving a puppy, the first step is to fill out and send a completed questionnaire. The information you provide in the questionnaire will help us match a puppy to your specific preference. Upon receiving your filled out questionnaire we will add you to our litter waiting list. You should also review the Matchless Kennels sales agreement at this time to ensure that you agree with and can comply too the terms of sale.

The order in which you are placed on the waiting list is not necessarily the order for selecting puppies. While we mostly adhere to the order received, as stated on our website, those who hunt with and/or hunt test their dogs will be given preference. We want our pups to have the best opportunity to be in the roll they were intended for; hunting!
Reservations are taken on gender only, not coat color.
Deposits are not required at the time you are added to our waiting list. Deposits are only accepted once the litter has whelped and we know we have a pup available for you. We will notify prospective purchasers upon whelping and a $200 non-refundable deposit is due within seven days to reserve your pup.
The remaining balance is due when the puppies are eight weeks old regardless of when you will be receiving your pup.

Your deposit will be refunded at the rate of 50 % to you if you change your mind about purchasing a puppy and contact us prior to the pups being four weeks old. Deposits past this date are non refundable.

A full refund of your deposit will be granted only if we are unable to provide you with a puppy. For example, if you reserved a male puppy but only females are available.
Puppies are released to go to their new homes when they are eight weeks old.
Puppies that are being shipped will be held until at least ten weeks old and longer if we feel the pup is not mature enough to handle the trip. All shipping and crate costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you intend to have your pup shipped please make these arrangements with us at least two weeks prior to shipment

Puppies intended for future hunt testing or as future breeders, male or female, must contain the kennel name “Matchless” in their registration name regardless of registrar. Buyers who plan to spay or neuter, or do not plan to hunt test may disregard this requirement but please read our contract prior to making this decision. You will be able to give your pup the call name of your choose.

The 12-month health guarantee provides adequate time for you to determine if your puppy has any health-related issues. We recommend Penn Hip for your pup’s hip evaluation because it can be performed much earlier than OFA. If your puppy should develop a genetic defect before it is one year old the terms of our health guarantee, replacement or refund, are detailed in the sales contract.

After a puppy leaves our kennel, we can no longer be responsible for any injury,
accidental death or contagious disease or other problems contracted outside of our immediate control.

There are no other implied or intended guaranties or warranties on puppies except as stated above. This guarantee is void if the puppy was purchased under false pretenses. This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser of the puppy.

I strongly encourage everyone who purchases a Matchless Kennels puppy to test his or her German Wirehair Pointer in the VHDF (Versatile Hunting Dog Federation), NAVHDA (The North American Hunting Dog Association), or AKC (American Kennel Club) hunt tests. These organizations help to provide low cost hunt training while socializing your pup to other people and other dogs. They will also benefit you as an owner/handler/trainer of your new hunting companion. And best of all, you meet some very nice friends in these organizations. The testing data provides you with an objective evaluation of your pup, and also provides me with valuable information to evaluate our litters and future breeding decisions.

If hunting is your primary interest, I do not believe you could find a better hunting companion than those produced under the VHDF of NAVHDA hunt test system. I would appreciate the opportunity to provide you with a well bred German Wirehair Pointer puppy. If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you.
